My last day of high school is tomorrow.
I’m graduating on Saturday.
I did it, I made it through and passed everything. I can’t believe I’m leaving high school.
I’m incredibly happy and sad all at the same time. It’s weird, I’m going to miss so many people. I had more underclassmen friends than senior friends. Oh, man. This is going to be a hard three days.

Just gonna go ahead and say it… Jessica Sanchez is damn amazing. Phillip Phillips doesn’t deserve to win over everyone else in the top 12. Joshua Ledet makes my heart cry cause his voice is so damn soulful and wow and don’t even get me started about the bullshitedness of him not making it to the finale. Jessica gives me chills/tears every time she sings. Phillip Phillips (god even that name annoys me) may be an artist in the sense that he writes music, plays the guitar (seriously how fucking artistic) and likes Mumford and Sons but damn it Idol is about SINGING. Yes Phillip is cute, Phillip has a great voice but is he nearly as talented as half the contestants on Idol this season? NO. Jessica clearly should be the winner.
How is she BORING? that’s something everyone seems to say over and over again about her. “she’s a boring performer”… what the..?
Idol is in-part about singing, but that in no way is the whole deal. It’s about passion and feeling and truly, deeply connecting to the words and finding somebody who lives and breathes what they do as well as bringing something new to the table. I like Jessica too, but I think Phillip has more to offer as a musical artist.
Don’t get me wrong, for being 16, Jessica is amazing. But that’s just the way I feel. I think both were deserving candidates for the role and both will be successful. Please stop griping and just be happy that Jessica’s made a name for herself now. She’ll be fine.

Ok, I’ve been trying to hold back “fan-boying” (that sounds weird) over this, but I haven’t cared this much about somebody winning American Idol in, well, ever. I’m so happy right now. Phillip truly deserved this. I can’t wait for his album to come out and I will buy it the day it hits shelves.
